About JET

Sliding doors are all we do

We’re a repair company working across twelve Florida counties. We don’t sell doors or glass, so when we come out, the only thing we’re there to do is get the door you have sliding again.

Why JET

Why a company that only fixes sliders

We don’t leave until it slides right.

A sliding glass door is a big pane of glass riding on a few small wheels in a metal track. When it starts to drag, grind or jump the track, the glass and the frame are usually fine. What’s worn out is a part: the rollers, the track under them, the lock and keeper, the weatherstrip.

Florida is hard on those parts. Salt air rusts steel rollers and the screws that adjust them. Sand collects in the bottom track and grinds it down. Impact panels are much heavier than standard glass, and all of that weight sits on the same small wheels.

Most doors that stick, grind or jump the track don’t need replacing. They need rollers, a track repair or an adjustment. That’s the work we do, and it’s the only work we do: sliding glass doors, impact sliders, pocket doors, screen doors and the windows beside them.

Repair first

We don’t sell doors, so there’s nothing to upsell

We don’t earn anything on a replacement. So the question at every door is the same one you’d ask: what does this door actually need?

  • Rollers worn flat or rusted solid New rollers. Not a new door.
  • Bottom track dented or worn down A track repair, or a stainless steel cap over the old track.
  • Door sags and won’t latch An adjustment, and a new keeper or lock if the old one is worn out.
  • Drafts, bugs or water getting in New weatherstrip and brush seals, and clear weep holes.
  • The door really can’t be saved We tell you straight, and the visit hasn’t cost you anything.

Out of scope

What we don’t do

We don’t replace glass or install new doors. We fix the one you have.

  • Glass

Cracked, fogged or broken glass goes to a glass company. We fix everything around it.

  • New doors and windows

We don’t sell or install them. We fix the one you have.

  • Structural work

Rotted framing or a sagging header needs a contractor. If that’s what’s pinching your door, we’ll say so.

  • Everything else in the house

No handyman jobs and no general contracting. Sliding doors, pocket doors, screens and window hardware.

The work

Where the wear shows up

Most of what we fix sits along the bottom and the edges of the door, where small parts carry a heavy panel.

Everything we fix
  • The bottom track of a large sliding glass door
    Bottom tracks
  • A worn lock cylinder and pull handle on a glass door stile
    Locks and keepers
  • A weathered sill and threshold under an open patio door
    Sills and seals
  • A screened patio seen through an open sliding glass door
    Screen doors
  • A worn metal window latch on a painted frame
    Window hardware
